Cortland Acres began serving Tucker and surrounding counties in May 1978. Just two years later, the board recognized the need for an official group to help coordinate volunteer efforts. The result was the formation of the Friends of Cortland Acres in June 19, 1980.

Since that time, the women and men of the Friends of Cortland Acres have given generously of their time and talents to help make Cortland Acres the progressive, caring organization it is today. The Friends of Cortland Acres have been able to purchase equipment and personal care items for residents, as well as fund special theme dinners, events and trips. Large scale projects include the purchase of a van that provides people with the opportunity to go shopping or attend community events.

The Friends of Cortland is always seeking volunteers who have time and talents to share. Please contact Marie Grafton at 304.463.4181 to volunteer your time and make a difference.
